The stage is set and on Saturday night, the UIL Conference 6A Division II Championship will be played between DeSoto and Humble Summer Creek at AT&T Stadium. The Humble Summer Creek Bulldogs have made history this season as the team has reached the state championship for the first time in school history. The team comes into Saturday night's game with a 14-1 record, losing only to Galena Park North Shore in week six by a score of 31-21. North Shore played in the Division I final earlier on Saturday afternoon. The Bulldogs made it through to the championship game following a big 38-14 victory over Cibolo Steele last weekend.

The Eagles come into Saturday night's game with a perfect 14-0 record this season and made it through to the final with a high-scoring 45-38 win over Southlake Carroll last weekend. In the back-and-forth game, DeSoto's speed and athleticism allowed the team to edge out the tradition and discipline of Southlake Carroll to advance to the title game. 

Summer Creek will have its work cut out against the Eagles who have a dynamic ground game led by senior Marvin Duffey, four-star junior Deondrae "Tiger" Riden and senior Jaden Trawick who boasts 554 yards on the season.
