Jaylen Palmer homered for the third consecutive game, slugging a two-run shot in the top of the sixth to reclaim the lead for Syracuse after the WooSox tied the game the previous inning. The Mets put the game away with three runs in the seventh for a 7-2 victory. Matt O'Neill hit his first homer of the campaign for Syracuse in the third.
Nick Sogard knocked in Worcester's first run in the fifth with an infield single and later scored on a wild pitch. Christian Koss had two hits but Red Sox hitters struck out 16 times.
