The Baltimore Orioles and Atlanta Braves take the field in MLB spring training today.

The top two teams in the Grapefruit League square off in spring training in the Baltimore Orioles (12-2) and the Atlanta Braves (7-5). Heading into this game Baltimore has won three straight games and nine of the last 10 picking up right where the team left off season. Baltimore finished last season with 101 wins, the most in the American League and one of just three teams to reach the 100-plus win milestone. One addition to the roster for Baltimore that could be a factor in the short-term and the long-term for the team is top prospect Jackson Holliday. The top prospect got off to a hot start with three hits as he gets used to the majors.

So far in Spring Training Holliday has gone 7-24 from the plate with two doubles, two triples and one run batted in so far in eight games. He is still getting used to the majors with nine strikeouts to balance his positive plate appearances. With a talent like Holliday helping bridge the present and the future, Baltimore is going to be one of the best teams in the American League for years to come.

For Atlanta, it has won 100-plus games in back-to-back seasons and is just two seasons removed from winning the World Series. They have built a dynamic roster around Ronald Acuna Jr. who is the reigning MVP of the National League and one of the best bats in baseball.
