The New York Yankees (8-13) have lost four straight games as they prepare to host the Toronto Blue Jays (10-10) at George M. Steinbrenner Field in Tampa on Saturday afternoon. The Yankees on Friday named left-hander Nestor Cortes as their Opening Day starter while getting news earlier this week at Cy Young Award winner Gerrit Cole won't need surgery on his ailing right elbow. Instead, Cole will receive treatment and rest but is expected to miss at least the first two months of the regular season. Toronto catcher Danny Jansen will miss at least two weeks with a small fracture in his right wrist after he was hit by a pitch on Wednesday.
