In the team's most recent outing, New York took a narrow 7-6 finish over the Miami Marlins on Sunday in Port St. Lucie, Florida, where the Mets came back from a 6-1 deficit after five innings. New York brought in four runs in the bottom of the sixth, followed by one run in the seventh and one more in the bottom of the ninth to take the victory in the exhibition outing. Third-baseman Mark Vientos had three RBIs, while Starling Marte, Ji-man Choi, José Iglesias and Harrison Bader each had one apiece at Clover Park.

Before the win against Miami, the Mets had previously fallen in a 9-8 defeat against the Washington Nationals also on Sunday in the first of their double-header to end the week. 

Pete Alonso, Luke Voit, Omar Narvaez (two), Joey Wendle, Zack Short and Ben Gamel all had RBIs in the loss to Washington.

New York will now look to continue its winning ways on Tuesday in the matchup against the Cardinals, who have won their last two Spring Training games in a row.
