Miami’s two wins this season over Washington have both come by single digits with one game very early in the season and the most recent just over a month ago.
In the most recent game Miami held onto a 110-102 win after building a strong lead heading into the fourth quarter. Jimmy Butler led the team with 24 points and nine rebounds on 7-of-10 shooting from the field. Bam Adebayo added in 20 points and 14 rebounds, shredding the Washington defense in the paint.
Washington stayed in the game in large part thanks to the shooting of Corey Kispert off the bench. He finished with 26 points and four rebounds going 6-of-14 from three. The 26 points were three off of a career-high and the six made three-pointers tied a season high for the third year sharp-shooter.
