It was only the second time all season that they had won two in a row. It has been a tough season for the Blackhawks, but they have played better over the last week and it has moved them ahead of the Sharks for the worst record in the NHL.

The Sharks have also been struggling as they came into the weekend with just one win in their last 12 games.
Sunday's game will be the fourth of a five-game road trip for the Sharks that didn't start off well. They lost to the Philadelphia Flyers 3-2 and then lost again 6-3 to the Pittsburgh Penguins in their first two games of the trip.
This will be the first of two meeting between the Sharks and Blackhawks over the next six days.
