LeBron James Goes for NBA Scoring Record

Plus, don’t miss a busy night in men’s college basketball with several ranked matchups.

We could see history tonight in the NBA. All eyes are on Los Angeles, where LeBron James is approaching the NBA’s career points record and could break it tonight. But it’s also a busy night in men’s college basketball, with four ranked matchups plus an interesting SEC showdown between Arkansas and Kentucky that are all worth tuning in for.

Here’s what I’m watching today.

MUST WATCH:

Lakers forward LeBron James

Oklahoma City Thunder at Los Angeles Lakers

Tonight could be the night that LeBron James becomes the NBA’s all-time scoring leader. He needs 36 points to pass Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s record of 38,387 career points, yet another crowning achievement in one of the most storied careers in NBA history. James enters today’s game averaging an even 30 points per game, so 36 is certainly within reach. Plus, this is an important game for the Lakers as they jockey for position in the Western Conference and chart their next steps after missing out on the Kyrie Irving sweepstakes over the weekend.
