With just a few games remaining in the regular season, Texas-El Paso will face off with Texas-San Antonio on Thursday evening in a Conference USA matchup in women's college volleyball. The Miners are currently 14-11 overall this season with a conference record of 8-4, good for a spot in third place. The team's most recent outing resulted in a 3-0 victory over Middle Tennessee on Friday. Three players shared the offensive leaderboard in the win with Vittoria Price, Serena Patterson and Kaya Weaver each recording eight kills. Hula Crisostomo tallied seven digs in the match to hold the team down defensively. The team will look to extend its win streak to two on Thursday.

The Roadrunners have struggled this season earning an overall record of 7-17 and a conference record of 2-10 putting the team in last place. The team is, unfortunately, on an eight-game losing streak with the most recent defeat coming at the hands of UAB. The Roadrunners lost the first two sets but picked up the third instilling a bit of hope. UAB had other ideas, however, and won the final set 25-20 sending UTSA back to Texas empty-handed.

The last time these two teams met resulted in a 3-0 win for UTEP.
