Florida Atlantic and Florida International will square off Saturday for their final game of the regular season in the Conference USA finale in women's college volleyball. The Owls are just above .500 overall this season with a 13-12 record and have collected a conference record of 3-10. Most recently, the team fell to Charlotte 1-3 to extend its losing streak to five games. The 49ers got off to a strong start going up 2-0 before the Owls battled back to take the third set. The team only won that one set and dropped the match despite a strong performance from Valeria Rosado with 13 kills.

The Panthers have struggled this season and as of Thursday afternoon had an overall record of 7-19 and a conference record of 4-8. Going into Thursday night's match against Louisiana Tech, the Panthers were on a three-game losing streak. Leading up to the match against Louisiana Tech, Athina Dimitriadis was leading FIU with 245 kills so far on the season.

The last time these two teams met resulted in a 3-2 win for FIU.
