After losing the first two games of the 2023 WNBA Finals on the road in very one-sided games, the New York Liberty have the opportunity to tie up the series here in Game 3 against the Las Vegas Aces at home Wednesday. This will be the toughest game of the season for Las Vegas, not only battling the second-best team in the league and a rabid road crowd, but doing that without starters Chelsea Gray (foot) and Kiah Stokes (foot). They have both been ruled out for Game 4, setting the stage for New York to tie the series today if it can take care of business behind Breanna Stewart, Jonquel Jones, Courtney Vandersloot and Sabrina Ionescu.

New York took care of business (87-73) before the injuries hit Las Vegas late in the game behind the play of Jones (27 points and eight rebounds) and Stewart (20 points and 12 rebounds), setting the stage for today’s Game 4.
Without Gray and Stokes in the lineup for Game 4, a lot of pressure falls on starting guards Jackie Young and Kelsey Plum, as well as 2023 WNBA Sixth Player of the Year winner Alysha Clark.
Las Vegas has a full roster to take advantage of, but has played the bulk of the season with Plum (36.4 minutes per game) and Young (34.5) nearly playing the entire game. Head Coach Becky Hammond will lean on Plum, Young, A’ja Wilson and Clark to all play 35+ minutes, if not the entire game, with limited action off the bench to try and clinch the 2023 WNBA Finals on the road.
