Auburn quarterback gives high praise to incoming wide receiver

Auburn's wide receiver room could be dynamic.

Auburn's freshmen wide receivers were the talk of the 2024 recruiting class.

Cam Coleman and Bryce Cain are already on campus and went through spring with the Tigers. Their fellow wide receivers in this class are expected to join over the summer and help add more talent to a position group that could be a dynamic room in the coming years.

Perry Thompson and Malcolm Simmons are expected to enroll at Auburn over the summer and hit the ground running in hopes of being able to help out Auburn's offense this fall. Auburn quarterback Hank Brown talked about Thompson on Locked On Auburn.

"Before I was actually here, when I was getting recruited here and took a visit in that short window, I was actually able to talk with Perry a while back when he was committed to Alabama," Brown said.
"Coach Freeze told me, hey, we got to get this guy. Let's work on him."

Of course, Thompson would flip from Alabama to Auburn and help add some momentum to Freeze's first full class while at Auburn.

"I was able to talk with him and his family a little bit and start building that relationship," Brown added.
And so I'm really excited for him to be here, obviously, as everybody is, and I'm just excited for that connection. And he can be really special, as everybody knows. I don't think I need to talk much about that, so I'm very excited."

Brown went 5-12 for 103 yards in Auburn's A-Day game.
