UPDATE, 4-1-2024: REED INTERVIEWS WITH TULANE UNIVERSITY, PER REPORT

Reed and her Tigers program has received overwhelming support from Division I national championship-winning head basketball coaches, most recently Geno Auriemma, Dawn Staley, and Kim Mulkey.

"They certainly don't get on TV enough, and they certainly don't get enough recognition, and I wanted to let her know that, and I wanted to put myself out there for her. I think we need coaches like her to be celebrated," Geno Auriemma said about Tomekia Reed in his postgame interview.

Athletic director Ashley Robinson's challenge will be retaining the current SWAC Coach of the Year and BOXTOROW National Basketball Coach of the Year. The coach's family connection with the Jackson, Mississippi, community has created deep emotional bonds for Reed.

Also, Robinson and Reed have a positive professional relationship which has you to wonder if he has already placed an offer on the table to keep the Lady Tigers head coach.

Tulane University and Tennessee are two prominent openings that could be excellent fits for Tomekia Reed who is an outstanding recruiter and develops players.

A decision to leave would be like her handling a full-court press. Yet, would the right offer tempt the dynamic coach to consider leaping into a higher-profile program and a very lucrative payday?
