Chris Jans Provides Injury Updates on Mississippi State Players
STARKVILLE, Miss. — Although Mississippi State basketball is coming off its second top-ten win of the season, the Bulldogs will continue to be down a few players as the SEC hits the midway point of the league schedule.
Both KeShawn Murphy and Andrew Taylor have not been with the team for a few weeks, and both were figured to get significant minutes this season.
Murphy has been missed for the Bulldogs as he is a 6-10 forward and would provide good depth for MSU. Jans said Murphy is still unavailable but is working his way back to being on the team and hopes he will return before the conclusion of the season.
On Taylor, Jans said he is no longer with the team and will not be back this season. Taylor was a big portal commit for the Bulldogs from Marshall University, where he averaged 20 points a game.
However, Taylor struggled during his limited playing time for the Bulldogs as he will finish the season averaging just four points a game. MSU will travel to Oxford to take on its rival at 7:30 p.m. central on the SEC Network.
