Current Cleveland Brows defensive back Martin Emerson Jr. was a huge asset to the secondary of the Mississippi State Bulldogs, and there's no doubt that he has continued to be such at the next level.

The second-year member of the Browns hit a new milestone in the team's 19-17 win over the San Francisco 49ers, picking off quarterback Brock Purdy with the game tied in the third quarter for his first career interception.

Emerson was a part of a solid overall Cleveland defensive effort that put a lot of pressure on Purdy. According to PFF, the former Bulldogs himself came into the game with the lowest completion percentage when targeted -- something that was clearly on display for the entirety of the contest.

Here's a look at the big play, in which the MSU alum welcomed Purdy to what the Browns love to call "Emerson Island" at a critical point.

Emerson finished out the game with 6 solo tackles to pair with the interception. So far this season, Emerson totals 14 total tackles (13 solo) with 20 passes defended, 1 sack and 1 interception.
