Highlights: Mississippi State Falls 41-14 To LSU In SEC Opener

Mississippi State (2-0) opened the 2023 season strongly with two consecutive wins against non-conference opponents, despite some early sputtering, but did not build off of that in the SEC opener against LSU.

Though there were some bright spots in the 41-14 fall to LSU, the biggest takeaway was that there is still plenty to work on for both sides of the ball and that this is very much a team in the state of a transitional period.
