Mississippi State Tight End Enters Transfer Portal

According to On3.com, Bulldogs senior tight end Ryland Goede has officially entered the transfer portal. Goede appeared in 10 games this season, finishing the year with just a single reception.
Goede transferred to Mississippi State ahead of the 2023 season after spending four years at Georgia. While his playing time was limited in his time in Athens, Goede was a member of back-to-back national championship teams.
He was used primarily as a blocker this season with his lone reception coming off an 18 yard throw from Will Rogers in the fourth quarter against Ole Miss.
Goede is now the sixth player to enter the transfer portal since the conclusion of the 2023 season, joining the likes of Will Rogers, Nakai Pool and more.
While new head coach Jeff Lebby has been able to retain several key assistant coaches from the previous regime, it remains to be seen how many key players he can also retain.
