Pitt Makes Final Five for Four-Star OL Ryan Howerton

The Pitt Panthers are hoping to add another four-star offensive lineman to their 2024 recruiting class.

PITTSBURGH -- The Pitt Panthers are hoping that, by next week, they will be able to add another four-star prospect to their 2024 recruiting class.

6'4, 295-pound offensive tackle Ryan Howerton of St. Vincent Pallotti High School in Laurel, Maryland, revealed a top five of Pitt, Maryland, West Virginia, Virginia Tech and Howard, along with a commitment date of July 15, on Twitter over the weekend.

Howerton is rated as a four-star player by Rivals and a three-star prospect by On3 and 247Sports. He's ranked as high as the No. 15 player in Maryland and No. 38 offensive tackle in the class of 2024 (Rivals).

In addition to those who landed in his top five, Howerton held offers from Toledo, Boston College, UConn, Akron, Monmouth, Temple, Campbell and Old Dominion. Ohio State, Penn State and James Madison all showed interest but did not offer.
