PITTSBURGH -- The Pitt Panthers were a contender for four-star 2024 defensive back Terhyon Nichols right up until the very end, but ultimately won't able to lure the Ohio native away from
Nichols announced this weekend that, from a final six of Pitt, Penn State, Ohio State, Michigan, Cincinnati and Kentucky, he had chosen to join the Wildcats' next recruiting class.
Nichols is a top-20 player in the state of Ohio, ranked as high as the No. 7 player in the state by On3, who also ranked him the No. 24 cornerback in the class and No. 187 overall player in the class.
He holds offers from Michigan, Pitt, Penn State, Kentucky, Notre Dame, Alabama, Tennessee, Cincinnati, Louisville, Wisconsin, Michigan State, Purdue, Ole Miss, Minnesota, Georgia Tech, Virginia Tech, Rutgers, Duke, Missouri, Vanderbilt, Syracuse, Illinois, West Virginia, Boston College and others.
Pitt already has three defensive backs - Tayshawn Banks, Nigel Maynard and Davion Pritchard, all three-star players - committed to their 2024 recruiting class.
