Shane Beamer and South Carolina's Football staff are set to host many blue-chip prospects for their cookout event on July 28th, and the list continues to grow. On Tuesday night, 2025 defensive lineman and the No. 1 player in the country for the 2025 class, Elijah Griffin, confirmed to GamecocksDigest that he will attend the Gamecocks' cookout this weekend.

Griffin will join five-star recruit Dylan Stewart for this event and two elite defensive line prospects in Amare Adams and Bryce Davis, who are also from the 2025 class, making this a massive weekend for this Gamecock staff. South Carolina has been battling Georgia, Alabama, and Clemson for Elijah, three schools that the Gamecocks have crossed paths with consistently in 2023 and, subsequently, have bested for kids like Josiah Thompson and Kam Pringle. The home-state bulldogs are considered the Gamecocks' stiffest competition in Griffin's recruitment, as the rising junior from Savannah, GA, has visited Athens on four different occasions, the same amount of times South Carolina has hosted the talented lineman.

After taking over as the lead recruiter in this recruitment back in late April, defensive tackles coach Travian Robertson looks to continue picking up where coach Jimmy Lindsey and Shane Beamer left off with Elijah Griffin. So far, it seems like he's doing just that.
