Noelvi Marte is a high-level prospect that is currently ranked No. 21 overall on the MLB.com prospects list

Marte plays both third base and shortstop, but has contributed mostly at the third base. He's coming off of an impressive season and is set to have high expectations moving forward.

Marte is a 22-year-old prospect from Cotui, Dominican Republic. He is a 6-0, 216-pounds. The right-hander has shown improvements as an offensive prospect, as he even saw himself playing DH throughout the 2023 season. He brings a good bat with high-level fielding and a solid arm, which is good enough for him to slide over from shortstop to third base in order to even things out in the Reds infield.

He gives them much needed flexibility with Elly De La Cruz and Matt McLain also on the roster. Although Marte could see himself playing shortstop occasionally, it is likely that he will primarily be a third baseman in the major leagues.

Marte played for the Chattanooga Lookouts for 50 games last season, posting a .281 batting average in 196 at-bats. In his time at Chattanooga, the young prospect had eight home runs, 25 RBI, and 10 stolen bases. He was later called up to the Louisville Bats, where he saw action in 39 games. During his time in Triple-A, he had an average of .280 with three homers, 20 RBI, and eight steals.

The Reds called him up to the big leagues last August. He played in 25 games posting a .316 batting average and hitting three home runs with 15 RBI and six stolen bases.

Following his time with the Reds, many fans started to put faith in the young prospect's skills and talent. He will likely play a huge part in the Reds system this year and is a serious contender for the National League Rookie Of The Year Award
