Lakers Reportedly Already Scouting LeBron James' Younger Son Bryce During AAU Season

The plan has begun!

The Los Angeles Lakers have a very interesting situation on their hands right now as superstar LeBron James only has one more guaranteed year with the franchise due to him having a player option for the 2024-2025 season. He hinted at a possible retirement after LA was knocked out by the Denver Nuggets in the 2023 Western Conference Finals.

The King has already been very honest over the past couple of years about how he is pretty satisfied with his historic career up to now and really only hopes to suit up with his older son Bronny James. The four-star guard is set to play his freshman season of college with the USC Trojans and if LeBron chooses to, he could opt out and sign with whatever team takes a chance on Bronny in the 2024 draft.

But maybe the purple and gold have their eyes sight on another member of the James family since they do not have control over their first round pick next season and it would require a trade to be able to land Bronny. Lucky for them, LeBron's younger son Bryce is about to enter his sophomore season at Campbell Hall High School and now that he has grown to 6'6, a ton of NBA scouts are keeping an eye on him.

Bryce has also been playing for LeBron James' AAU/EYBL team 'Strive For Greatness' and has been turning a ton of heads in the annual Peach Jam tournament. LeBron and Rajon Rondo even popped out to coach him and the rest of the squad and the Lakers were reportedly among the scouts at his recent games.

"Scouts from the Los Angeles Lakers, Orlando Magic, Cleveland Cavaliers, Dallas Mavericks, New York Knicks, Phoenix Suns and Atlanta Hawks were among the teams to make it a "priority" to watch Bryce at Nike's Peach Jam tournament in South Carolina, according to Krysten Peek of Yahoo Sports."

Bryce still has three seasons ahead of him in high school along with at least one season in college or elsewhere but we are super excited to see how he develops from here on out!
