Warriors vs. Grizzlies Prediction for Today, 2/2

This may be the first road game for Steph Curry and company after their five-game homestand, but they’ll be getting to face one of the league’s worst teams on the second leg of a back-to-back. As if things weren’t going poorly enough for Memphis, they have yet another disadvantage of fatigue.

Even without that, they’re still as depleted as ever, missing Ja Morant, Desmond Bane and Marcus Smart. That is quite literally their expected big three coming into the season, putting virtually all the pressure on Jaren Jackson Jr. He’s the reigning Defensive Player of the Year, but they still need to score points.

Their lack of scoring has them as the absolute worst team on a points-per-game basis, while the Warriors have worked their way into the top 10 in that regard as of late. They’ve also been off since that huge win over the 76ers on Tuesday night, so the rest advantage is even more significant.

We expected an even larger point spread, so we’re comfortable taking Golden State -8.5 (-110 at FanDuel Sportsbook) as our best Warriors vs. Grizzlies prediction.

Warriors vs. Grizzlies Player Props & Free Picks Featuring Player 1 & Player 2

If you’d rather not sweat out a Golden State point spread on the road, we also have our best Warriors vs. Grizzlies player props for you. Those begin with none other than Steph Curry himself, he continues to prove why many regard him as the best shooter in NBA history.

We know his props are often inflated, but performing against Memphis has been too consistent to ignore. Over his last nine games against the Grizz, Curry has scored at least 26 points in all but one of them. Within that span are also two games with 46 points and multiple games with at least 34 points.

He’s also got the hot hand coming off a 46-point game against the Los Angeles Lakers, so we’re rolling with Steph Curry Over 28.5 Points (-113 at FanDuel Sportsbook). As for our second pick, we’re targeting Memphis’ Xavier Tillman.

With Jaren Jackson Jr. forced to handle virtually all of the scoring, Tillman is tasked with handling the glass. However, the Warriors are excellent in that regard, allowing the fourth-fewest rebounds per game. That was proven on Tuesday night by holding Philly’s Joel Embiid to just seven rebounds.

He may have left that game early, but that was with just four minutes remaining, and he had already been on the court for 30 minutes. On top of that, Tillman had just four rebounds in 30 minutes when these teams met just over two weeks ago. So, we’ll confidently add to our Warriors vs. Grizzlies player props with Xavier Tillman Under 6.5 Rebounds (-113 at FanDuel Sportsbook).
