Warriors vs. Nets Prediction for Today, 2/5

We’re going to take advantage of some recency bias with our Warriors vs. Nets prediction. We just saw Golden State go down to a fringe playoff team and Brooklyn take down a top contender in the Philadelphia 76ers.

However, that was without Joel Embiid, De’Anthony Melton and Tobias Harris. The Warriors are as healthy as ever, and the Nets are without Dorian Finney-Smith. Let’s also not forget Golden State won this matchup earlier in the season. We’d also like to note we expect this to be a high-scoring game, as each of the last meetings between these teams has gone over or pushed.

One of those went over by 32.5 points, but we’re still confident that Golden State can do the majority of the scoring. After all, we did just see Steph Curry go for 60 the other night. Despite their recent losses, the Warriors still have that championship pedigree, while Brooklyn is more of a cast of individuals who take turns going off.

That will come into play with our Warriors vs. Nets player props below, but first, our best Warriors vs. Nets prediction is Golden State +2 (-112 at FanDuel Sportsbook).

Warriors vs. Nets Player Props & Free Picks Featuring Brandin Podziemski & Cam Thomas

We already foreshadowed our Warriors vs. Nets player props, so let’s dive right in. As much as Steph Curry and Draymond Green have come through for us this season, we’re going to have our most unique approach to date.

Andrew Wiggins went down in the Hawks loss, and although he’s listed as day-to-day, that will likely be more time on the court for Brandin Podziemski. He’s started quite a bit already this season, and he’s certainly earned it. Even when coming off the bench, he’s recorded a double-double in each of the past two games!

We’re not saying to lock that in, but he’s earned 34+ minutes of game time in the past three games and recorded double-digit points in the past four. He also had 19 points against Brooklyn in December, so we’re rolling with Brandin Podziemski Over 11.5 Points (-113 FanDuel Sportsbook) to tip off our Warriors vs. Nets player props.

A high-scoring game was also already mentioned, so of course, our second pick is also on a points prop. That would be with Brooklyn’s Cam Thomas, who is known for his scoring. That was on full display in Brooklyn’s recent win over the 76ers, as he dropped an incredible 40 points.

However, that is not extremely rare for him. In fact, he dropped 41 against the Warriors in that aforementioned matchup in December. Over his last five games, he’s averaged 30.4 points per game and didn’t score fewer than 25 in any of them. So, we’re also targeting Cam Thomas Over 24.5 Points (-122 at FanDuel Sportsbook) with our Warriors vs. Nets player props.
