Chargers News: Bolts Named Ideal Landing Spot for Superstar Potential WR in Draft
The Los Angeles Chargers have a lot of planning to do with their number five overall pick. No matter what they do with it, this pick will be crucial for this new-look Bolts team.
A lot is at stake for the team this offseason, and this number five pick is at the top of the list. If they keep the pick, they will have many great options— one of which could be LSU wide receiver Malik Nabers.
Nabers would be a great draft pick for the Bolts. Not only do many pundits think so, but former Charger quarterback turned analyst Chase Daniel also believes so. In the latest NFL Total Access, Daniel says the Bolts are the ideal landing spot for Nabers in the upcoming draft.
"My three words are explosive, game wrecker, and production. This dude produces at the next level. He's one of the better receivers at releases. He's so explosive post catch but he's able to do that he's released so well...
For me, I'm looking at the Los Angeles Chargers at pick five for a production-based receiver who's twitchy, explosive, or anything like that. They make a lot of sense to me."
Nabers is as good as they come for a young and explosive wide receiver.
The 20-year-old is one of the more accomplished wide receivers in this year's class. He finished the year as a Consensus All-American, Biletnikoff Award Finalist, First-team All-SEC and the 2023 Citrus Bowl MVP.
In his career, he's collected 3003 receiving yards, 21 touchdowns, and 189 receptions with 15.9 yards per reception. Nabers has tremendous run-after-catch ability, is elusive and difficult to bring down in solo tackles, and has exceptional leaping ability.
He'll be a force to be reckoned with at the pro level.
