Amazon dropped many new gadgets in September, including a trio of new Fire TV products. The first-ever Amazon-made soundbar delivers better audio for Fire TV televisions and those with a streaming stick or cube attached. The ever-handy Fire TV Stick 4K and Fire TV Stick 4K Max were also upgraded.

In the lead-up to Black Friday 2023, Amazon’s begun rolling out early discounts, and you can majorly save on the new Fire TV Stick 4K and Fire TV Soundbar. Either is a great way to spruce up your current home entertainment setup.

Fire TV Stick 4K, $30 (was $50) at Amazon

With a roughly similar size and build, the Fire TV Stick 4K is still designed to plug directly into the back of your TV via an HDMI port. It’s slightly more modern and ergonomic, with rounded edges, making it easier to maneuver during installation. It’s also running the latest version of Amazon’s Fire TV software, which offers easy access to applications for all the major streaming services.

You can use the included directional arrows on the Alexa Voice Remote or, as the name applies, use Amazon’s virtual assistant to ask for whatever content you’d like. They’ve even updated the knowledge base with IMDB smarts to improve responses. It will all run smoothly, and content can start streaming without hesitation, thanks to support for Wi-Fi 6 and a 1.7GHz quad-core processor inside. Those upgrading from a previous Fire TV Stick will notice an up to 25% faster experience.

Regarding the viewing experience, the Fire TV Stick 4K streams visuals at up to a 4K resolution with support for Dolby Vision and HDR10+. Of course, you’ll need to be using the Fire TV Stick 4K

At just $30, the Fire TV Stick 4K is 40% off and at the lowest price we’ve tracked since its release. It’s a great value, and at the discounted price, it’s an excellent option as a stocking stuffer.

Fire TV Soundbar, $100 (was $120) at Amazon

Unlike Roku’s Streambar, which puts the brain of a streaming device into a soundbar, the Fire TV Soundbar is simply a way to boost the audio of a Fire TV television or a TV with a Fire TV device connected to it. It’s also a one-size-fits-all solution as a 24-inch soundbar that can pack a solid audio punch. Though, it might look a little small underneath say a 75-inch TV.

For $100, thanks to this fresh discount, it delivers a 2.0-channel audio experience with the ability to improve vocals and extend the soundstage. Powering the audio is a two-speaker setup with a digital amplifier for an experience that supports DTS:X and Dolby Digital. For the price, it aims to deliver better sound from your TV to accompany whatever you’re watching.

It also promises easy setup, in that the Fire TV television, Stick, or Cube will auto-identify the soundbar and help get you all paired in a matter of minutes. You can also connect to it via Bluetooth from a device like a phone or tablet for simple music playback.

If you have a Fire TV television and have been after more filling sound but don’t want to invest in a sound system from Samsung or Sony, the Fire TV Soundbar is worth consideration as a seriously affordable option. Similarly, if you’re after better sound on a TV with a Fire TV Stick or Cube connected, this soundbar is a less costly option for improving the experience.
