In the world of Apple deals, we’ve seen discounts on AirPods Pro and iPads in 2023. Now, Amazon is offering a fresh pair of discounts on the 2023 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros.
Both feature the latest Apple-made processor that provides enough power for any thinkable task with vibrant displays and a design that is practically universally loved.
You’re saving nearly $150 on either the entry-level 14-inch or the 16-inch MacBook Pro. While the 14-inch was on sale once before in February, this is the first time Amazon has discounted its 16-inch counterpart. While they're still not necessarily super affordable, these mobile powerhouses are best-in-class.

Regardless of the screen size, you get the latest in higher-end Mac design from Apple. Both feature a more hefty build that feels sturdy in the hand. With the 14-inch for instance, you can comfortably use it from your lap while sitting on the couch or even while commuting. Same goes for the 16-inch, but it is a much larger build.
Gone are the days of needing to bring a dongle or dongles with you. The 14-inch and 16-inch feature three Thunderbolt 4/USB-C ports, an HDMI in, an SD card reader, an audio jack, and a MagSafe port. Yes, the magnetic charging standard from MacBooks of yonder years is back and is just as helpful. The keyboard is great to type on and sleek with a black paint job. You can easily control it all via a large trackpad as well.
Out of the box, it comes running macOS Ventura and it runs fast thanks to Apple’s M2 Pro chip. It features a 10-Core CPU and a 16-Core GPU that can easily power through more basic tasks like a web browser with a bunch of tabs and other applications open. The technology behind it lets it run for most of the time without kicking in the fan and it can scale for more strenuous tasks like gaming, a robust batch photo edit, or even a full 4K film export. You can even accomplish many of these at the same time.
The entry-level models pair that M2 Pro chip with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of solid-state-storage as well. Baked into the screen in the form of a centered notch up-top is a 1080p FaceTime HD camera with a three-microphone array. You’ll look sharp for video calls and in spots with lower-lighting, it can even work some magic to brighten up the scene.
As we pointed above, the key difference here is the size of the display. Both are Liquid Retina XDR displays which can get quite bright at over 1,000 units and support HDR content. This translates to colors that pop when editing a photo or video along with a great experience for browsing the web. Additionally, when typing on a document you’ll notice sharp, inky blacks for font.
The best feature of the 14-inch or 16-inch display would be the ProMotion refresh rate which lets the MacBook Pro scale from 1Hz to 120Hz. This spec equals out to how many times in a second the can refresh itself and the higher the number of times makes for a more smooth, true-to-life experience. Using either MacBook Pro is buttery smooth and you won’t want to go back.
Nearly $150 off on any Apple product is an excellent deal, but this ultimately comes down to a rare savings on the latest MacBook Pros to hit the scene. Either the 14-inch or 16-inch are an excellent upgrade, especially at this price, if you’re currently rocking an older Mac.

If you're not after a Pro-grade processor or need a MacBook that is a bit more portable, Amazon is also discounting both the M1 and M2 MacBook Airs. The entry-level M1 opts for the classic wedged-design with plenty of performance for $100 off at $899.
While the M2 Air opts for a more modern design with a larger display and a more efficient processor. It is currently discounted to $1,049 from $1,199 at Amazon.
