Creatine HCL is a newer version of creatine that claims to be more water-soluble than creatine monohydrate. If true, that would mean you can consume creatine in significantly smaller doses with the same benefits. However, it is new, so there is limited evidence to support this. What we do know is that creatine HCL is safe, and produces comparable results to creatine monohydrate.
