The Dodgers will take on the Republic of Korea national team at the Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul after beating the Kiwoom Heroes of the Korea Baseball Organization on Sunday. The Korean team lost a 1-0 decision to the Padres later in the day. The Dodgers will face 24-year-old right-hander Gwak Been, who pitches for the KBO's Doosan Bears, on Monday while right-hander Bobby Miller gets the start for Los Angeles.

Freddie Freeman got the Dodgers off to a fast start against the Heroes, rifling a first-inning homer off the scoreboard in right field. Shohei Ohtani struck out twice in the first two innings before making his scheduled exit. Jason Heyward drove in four runs.
Los Angeles took 31 players on its traveling roster to Korea, which will have to be trimmed to the regular-season limit of 26 for the two-game series with San Diego. The Dodgers took seven starting pitchers on the trip, with right-handers Tyler Glasnow and Yoshinobu Yamamoto set to work the two games against the Padres.
The Dodgers' splashy offseason included signing Ohtani, the most sought-after free agent on the market, bringing Yamamoto over from Japan and acquiring Glasnow in a trade from the Tampa Bay Rays.
