On Tuesday night, UConn will continue its 18-game road trip with a visit to Los Angeles to take on UCLA at Jackie Robinson Stadium. The Huskies come into Tuesday night's game on a four-game losing streak with the most recent being a 12-1 loss to No. 25 UC Santa Barbara on Sunday to bring the team's overall record to 3-9. UConn was only able to produce four hits against the Gauchos with the only run coming from the bat of Korey Morton on a groundout to third base that scored Ryan Daniels. The Huskies could not find a solution on the mound as they used seven pitchers in the loss which was credited to Stephen Quigley who pitched three innings and gave up six earned runs while striking out five.

The Bruins have lost six in a row with the most recent being a close 6-5 defeat by Pac-12 foe Cal on Sunday. Mulivai Levu led offensive play for UCLA with a 3-for-5 performance at the plate and two RBI. Levu homered in both the first and seventh innings, but the team came up just short despite having a two run lead going into the ninth. Rashad Ruff was credited with the loss after blowing the save. He pitched 2.1 innings and gave up five earned runs on six hits, striking out four along the way.
This will be the first ever meeting between UCLA and UConn.
