In those first two games the Spiders won by four points back in January and then 19 points just under a month ago to sweep the regular season. Now they are a win away from three wins over the Billikens this season.
Grace Townsend led the way with 26 points and seven rebounds in the first game, holding off a feisty Billikens team. Sophie Phillips led the way for the Billikens in the loss with 22 points going 5-for-11 from three in the loss. Three others scored in double-figures for the Billikens in the loss, with the team showing they have a blueprint to upset the Spiders here today.
Then in the second game the Spiders built a 21-point lead at the half and never looked back in a 19-point win. Six different players scored at least nine points for the Spiders, led by Siobhan Ryan with 14 points going 4-for-6 from three in the win.
