In the only game between the teams this season the Bluejays won 77-72 after building an early lead. The Hoyas made a strong push late, closing the gap and taking the lead heading into the final period.
Lauren Jensen led the way with 21 points, four rebounds and four assists going 5-5 from the free-throw line. Morgan Maly (20 points), Emma Rosniek (15 points and five rebounds) and Molly Mogensen (11 points and five assists) all scored in double-figures in the win. They will need to play like that again today to hold off the Hoyas from a surprise trip to the championship game.
The Hoyas' comeback was fueled by Brianna Scott (17 points, seven rebounds and four assists) and Jada Claude (14 points) off the bench. They combined to shoot 4-4 from three giving the Hoyas a much-needed boost in the competitive loss to the Bluejays two months ago.
