Jordan Jones and Wagner will take the court against Jordan Derkack and Merrimack in the championship game.

No. 6 seeded Wagner will battle it out tonight with No. 1 seeded Merrimack at Hammel Court in North Andover, Maine, for the championship game of the Northeast Conference Tournament with a trip to the NCAA Tournament on the line. The Warriors of Merrimack are 21-11 overall this season and dominated the conference with a 13-3 record overall tied with Central Connecticut. They held a three-game lead over Sam Houston as well. In the quarterfinal matchup, Merrimack took down Long Island by six points on the back of a 23-point performance from Jordan Derkack. He also had 10 rebounds and five assists in that win. They moved on to take on Le Moyne in the semifinals where it won by 10 points. Adam Clark led the team in that win with 24 points while Derkack had seven assists.

The Seahawks finished the season even at 15-15 overall and just 7-9 against conference teams in the NEC. They took down the No. 3 seed Sacred Heart in the quarterfinals by three points. Tahron Allen led the team with 22 points in the win.

They then took down the No. 2 seed in the tournament, Central Connecticut, by 10 points to advance to the championship. Jordan Jones had 15 points and three assists to propel Wagner to the championship.
