The Gamecocks made it through to the quarterfinal round after beating 12th-seeded Arkansas on Thursday in an 80-66 win. Collin Murray-Boyles finished the game as the leading scorer on both sides with 24 points while B.J. Mack added 19 points to the scoreboard. Mack led on the boards with nine rebounds to narrowly miss a double-double. The team finished the game shooting an impressive 52.5% from the field, but just 20% from the three-point line.
The last time Auburn and South Carolina met was back in February and resulted in a big 101-61 win for the Tigers.
