The day college basketball fans have been waiting for since the fall has arrived as Selection Sunday will air at 6 p.m. ET. Teams across the nation will watch in anticipation to see if they have made it into March Madness. The NCAA uses the NET Rankings to help the selection committee build the 68-team bracket as a roadmap to the national title. NET Rankings is an analytic algorithm that ranks every team in college basketball by splitting wins and losses into four categories. With a few games remaining on Sunday to determine automatic bids, there are still plenty of variables remaining that will determine what seed the teams end up as.

Prior to Sunday, the teams that were expected to earn the No. 1 seeds in the four regions were UConn in the East, Iowa State in the West, Purdue in the Midwest and Houston in the South. Last night, however, top-seeded Purdue was upset by fifth-seeded Wisconsin in the Big Ten semifinals with a 76-75 overtime victory. Will Purdue still earn a No. 1 seed after only beating Michigan State by five in the quarterfinals and losing to Wisconsin in the semis?
Tune in Sunday night to see where your favorite team falls in the bracket as the best part of the men's basketball season begins this week with March Madness.
