This is the third game of a four-game road trip for the Heat before they return to Miami for a four-game homestand. The last two games are just what the doctor ordered for the Heat. Both games were against the Detroit Pistons. Miami first won 108-95 on Friday to end a four-game losing streak but the contest was much closer on Sunday when the Heat won 104-101. It came by the slimmest of margins when Bam Adebayo hit a thrilling buzzer-beater from three. Duncan Robinson was a big part of the win as well leading the game with 30 points. The Heat swept the season series 4-0 in the process. It still feels like the Heat and 76ers should be higher than seventh and eighth in the East standings respectively. Each has a 37-30 record but Miami has the 2-0 season-series lead over Philadelphia.

The 76ers are also coming off a win beating the Charlotte Hornets on Saturday 109-98. Tyrese Maxey took a shot to the nose drawing the flagrant foul and drew blood but he shook it off and still led the game with 30 points. Maxey is one of the biggest reasons Philly has been able to stay afloat this season while Joel Embiid has missed extended time. Kelly Oubre Jr. had a good game too adding 22 points. Charlotte made it interesting getting within two with 3:30 left in the game but the 76ers pulled away late. This should be a great and close game with the 76ers holding just a -2.5 line tonight at home.
