Chris Manon and No. 7 seed Cornell will take the court against Bruce Thornton and No. 2 seed Ohio State tonight.

The No. 2-seeded Ohio State from the Big Ten will take their home court at Value City Arena in Columbus, Ohio, tonight in the first round of the NIT Tournament against the No. 7-seeded Cornell from the Ivy League. The Buckeyes finished their regular season 20-13 overall and the No. 10 team in the Big Ten Conference. They were able to beat Iowa in the first round of the conference tournament but bowed out in the next round losing to NCAA No. 3 seed Illinois by just three points in the quarterfinals. They will not look to pick back up pace in this postseason tournament. For that to happen, Bruce Thornton will have to be electric. He leads the team in scoring averaging 16.1 points per game and a team-high 4.6 assists per game. Felix Okpara leads the team in rebounding with 6.4 rebounds per game but only averages 5.9 points to go with that.
