No. 1 Ohio State takes on No. 8 Minnesota Duluth in the first of two WCHA Semifinal games on Friday night.

The WCHA tournament - known as the 'Final Faceoff' - moves to neutral site action on Friday afternoon with a pair of semifinal games. Both games are rematches of last year's semifinal. That includes the first matchup, which has top seed No. 1 Ohio State (13-1-0, 26-2-0 WCHA) taking on fourth seed No. 8 Minnesota Duluth (20-12-4, 15-11-2 WCHA) at Ridder Arena in Minneapolis, the site for all three games this weekend. The teams had the same seeding in last year's game, when Ohio State scored a pair of second-period goals to go on to a 2-1 win. The Buckeyes then went on to lose to Minnesota in the conference championship.
