The men's volleyball season is underway and on Thursday night, No. 12 USC will host Harvard at the Galen Center for a non-conference matchup. The Crimson will begin their season on Thursday night as their season-opener against Merrimack was postponed. Last season, the team finished 9-16 overall and made an appearance at the 2023 EIVA Championships. Zach Berty is set for another strong season after a first-year campaign in which he led the team with 202 total kills, 2.53 kills per set, and 32 aces. Kade McGovern, Ethan Smith, Trevor Schultz and Owen Fanning all joined Berty with triple-digit kills to close out the 2023 season. James Bardin and Smith were both named EIVA Players to Watch this season and the team will heavily rely on them for success.

The Trojans have two games under their belt so far this season and both resulted in wins with the most recent being a straight-set victory over Morehouse on Saturday. Jack Ebertin led the USC offense in the win with 12 kills as Caleb Blanchette provided support at setter with 23 assists. The defense was not challenged much against Morehouse, but Riley Haine led the defensive efforts with three digs in the team's win.
USC and Harvard have only met four times in program history and the Trojans lead the series 4-0.
