The Hoosiers come into Saturday's game with an overall record of 13-10, but the team is 0-3 in conference play so far. The team's most recent game resulted in a close 9-7 loss to No. 3 Cal when the teams played last weekend. Louisa Downes and Kallie White each scored two goals in the loss to lead the offense. Mary Askew played the full game in net for the Hoosiers and despite allowing nine goals in the loss, she made 12 saves for a save percentage of 57%.

The Trojans have had a stellar start to the season with a 19-1 record overall and a conference record of 1-0. The team is on a seven-game win streak with the most recent coming against San Diego State in a 16-7 victory. Fanni Muzsnay, Grace Tehaney and Bayley Weber each recorded three goals to lead the team in scoring. Jada Ward played the full 32 minutes in goal to earn the win and made 10 saves along the way.

These two teams met earlier this season at the Triton Invitational in which the Trojans won 16-7.
