Arnold Palmer Invitational

Some of golf’s most exciting stars—including past invitational winners Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlory—will tee off in this PGA Tour match named after legend Arnold Palmer. The invitational will be held at Arnold Palmer's Bay Hill Club and Lodge in Orlando, Fla.

Coverage of the Arnold Palmer Invitational begins Thursday, March 2 and continues through Sunday, March 5. The competition will air on NBC and The Golf Channel.

Bahrain Grand Prix

Formula 1 action returns with the the 2023 Bahrain Grand Prix, which takes place over 57 laps on the Bahrain International Circuit in Sakhir.

How to watch

Practices begin March 3, with the qualifying race scheduled for March 4. Drivers will then face off officially on March 5. ESPN will air the race.

BNP Paribas Open

Also known as the Indian Wells Masters, this annual tournament takes place in Indian Wells, Calif. Players include defending champions Iga Swiatek and Taylor Fritz, who are currently World No. 1 and World No. 8, respectively. Novak Djokovic is also looking to compete, pending the decision of his vaccine waiver request

How to watch

Qualifying matches start March 6 and conclude March 7. Both the ATP and WTA singles tournaments will conclude March 20. All rounds will air on the Tennis Channel.

NASCAR Cup Series

NASCAR is celebrating its 75th Anniversary, and multiple Cup Series races will take place during March. 

How to watch

The first March Cup Series race will air March 5, with three more races following every Sunday of the month. All of the races will be aired on Fox.

UEFA Champions League 

The second leg of the Champions League’s Round of 16 will start March 7. The annual club football competition will feature some of Europe’s top clubs, including Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain.

The Round of 16 will start March 7 and end March 15. Quarterfinal and semifinal draws will begin on March 17. Coverage will be streamed on CBS and Paramount+.

The 95th Academy Awards

Basketball not your thing? No problem. The Oscars, hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, will also air March 12. This year, several stunning performers are vying for the highest honor in film—including Michelle Yeoh, the first ever Asian woman nominated in the Best Actress category.

Miami Open

For the first time season 1968, all 30 clubs are scheduled to play on Opening Day. The Giants, Yankees, Braves and Nationals will see action first, and Opening Day will cap off with the Diamondbacks, Dodgers, Guardians and Mariners.
