The 96th Academy Awards are set to air live on Sunday on ABC at 7 p.m. ET. The awards show will honor the best films of 2023, taking place at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood. The nominations were announced on Jan. 23, with Oppenheimer leading the way with 13 nods, followed by Poor Things and Killers of the Flower Moon with 11 and 10, respectively. The event is to be hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, with Amelia Dimoldenberg hosting the pre-show. The 96th Academy Awards are to be produced by Raj Kapoor and Katy Mullan, and directed by Hamish Hamilton.

The films nominated for Best Picture this year are American Fiction, Anatomy of a Fall, Barbie, The Holdovers, Killers of the Flower Moon, Maestro, Oppenheimer, Past Lives, Poor Things and The Zone of Interest.

With Maestro, Steven Spielberg extended his record for the most Best Picture nominations to 13.

Of those nominated for Best Picture, only five get to be considered for Best Director. The nominations for Best Director this year are Justine Triet (Anatomy of a Fall), Martin Scorcese (Killers of the Flower Moon), Christopher Nolan (Oppenheimer), Yorgos Lanthimos (Poor Things) and Jonathan Glazer (The Zone of Interest).
