This season marks the fifth season of the NBA2K 5v5 Gameplay tournament with the 12 best gamers in the sport looking to carve a path to the championship. The 12 teams are broken up into two conferences, with six in each the western and eastern conference. In the western conference, the top-ranked seed is the T-Wolves Gaming team with the Warriors Gaming Squad, Bucks Gaming, Lakers Gaming, Jazz Gaming and Mavs Gaming with the eastern conference represented by top-ranked team of 76ers GC along with Wizards District Gaming, Gen.G Tigers of Shanghai, Knicks Gaming, Heat Check Gaming and Magic Gaming this season.

Each of the top-seeded teams comes in after record-breaking runs and are clear favorites to meet up in the finals. Upsets can and will happen, but 76ers GC and T-Wolves Gaming are no joke this season.
On the official website for the league, the top expert has a prediction of the Wizards District Gaming taking on the Warriors Gaming Squad, leaning into the potential of upsets.
This season the NBA2K Gameplay league introduced the 3v3 tournament that wrapped up last week with the Pistons GT winning the tournament with Ramo winning the first ever MVP in that tournament format.
