Fargo Davies and West Fargo Sheyenne play for a berth in the state championship game of the NDHSAA Division AA Tournament on Friday night. It will be the third time this season the two teams have met. The Mustangs won the first game 86-70 back on January 12th, but the Eagles avenged that loss with a 71-66 on February 12th. That win was part of their current 11-game winning that has led them to the state semifinals. In the quarterfinals, the Eagles had little trouble as they beat Bismarck Legacy 76-38. They now sit at 21-4 on the season and they are playing as well as anybody left in the tournament.

The Mustangs, though, are looking to slow down the Eagles and get the upset win. They haven't been playing the best as they finished the regular season with three losses in their last five games.

They did bounce back with an opening win against Fargo South 68-52 and then slipped by Bismarck in the quarterfinals 75-70.

They have already shown they can beat the Eagles with their earlier season win, but they are going to have to play even better on Friday if they want to do it again and earn a spot in the state championship game.
