Nicole Hensley made 20 saves and Minnesota blanked Boston 4-0 at home on Wednesday night. Kendall Coyne Schofield scored Minnesota's first goal late in the first period for the game-winner while Michela Cava, Grace Zumwinkle and Taylor Heise also lit the lamp.
New York last played on Sunday, coughing up a 2-1 lead in a 3-2 overtime loss at Boston in which it was outshot 46-23. Elizabeth Giguère and Jaime Bourbonnais scored 2:07 apart late in the second period to give New York the lead before Boston tied the game 5:22 into the third.
New York boasts the PWHL's leading scorer in Alex Carpenter, who has 18 points, including eight goals, while goalie Corinne Schroeder is second in the PWHL with a .942 save percentage. Zumwinkle is fourth in the league in both goals (eight) and points (14) for Minnesota while Hensley's .935 save percentage ranks third.
