The United States and Canada will open the 2023 Men's World Lacrosse Championship Wednesday night as the U.S. seeks its 11th world title.

The 2023 Men's World Lacrosse Championship will begin in San Diego, California on Wednesday night, as the United States takes on Canada in the opening game of the tournament. The tournament will take place at the University of San Diego and San Diego State University, as 30 teams battle it out for the chance to earn a world championship. The United States is a heavy favorite to win its 10th FIL World Title since the tournament's inception in 1967.

Canada has battled with the United States for the trophy since the tournament began and currently holds three world titles. The team has finished in second place seven times, but will look to claim the top spot again this year for the first time since 2014. 

Tune in Wednesday night as the tournament begins with a repeat of the 2018 championship game in which the United States beat Canada with one second remaining on the clock. It should be a good one.
