In interleague action on Tuesday night, the Toronto Blue Jays (53-41) host the San Diego Padres (44-50) in the first game of a three-game series at the Rogers Centre. The Blue Jays so far have picked up right where they left off before the All-Star break - they've won eight of their last nine games going back to early July including four wins in a row. Most recently, they swept the Arizona Diamondbacks over the weekend - who had led the National League West before they came to town last Friday. After a day off on Monday, the Blue Jays now begin another series against a team from that division.

As the Blue Jays look to extend this winning streak, they'll send 25-year-old righty Alek Manoah to the mound. In his last start before the All-Star break - which came after a month-long minor league stint following some rough performances - he allowed just one run and five hits in six innings while striking out eight hitters in a winning effort against the Detroit Tigers.
The Padres will counter with righty Joe Musgrove. Musgrove is 8-2 in 14 starts this season with a 3.29 ERA. He won his last start, when he threw six shutout innings against the New York Mets on the Sunday before the All-Star game.
