St. Louis picked up a win on Sunday as the visiting team in Jupiter. Both teams finished last season with 71 victories and last-place finishes, with Washington finishing in the National League East cellar for the fourth straight season since winning the World Series in 2019, while the Cardinals went from winning the NL Central in 2022 to the division basement.

The Nationals scored two runs on infield groundouts and hit three sacrifice flies on Sunday to beat the Minnesota Twins 7-3. Alex Call drove in two runs, once with a grounder and the other with a sac fly while Riley Adams and James Wood each had two hits and scored twice. Joan Adon worked three scoreless innings to get the win.
Thomas Saggese went 4-for-4 with six RBI to pace St. Louis to a 12-8 victory over the Miami Marlins on Sunday. The Cardinals banged out 15 hits and left 15 runners on base despite scoring 12 times, drawing 12 walks and having two batters hit by pitches. Left-hander Drew Rom worked three scoreless innings of relief, striking out four.
Right-hander Miles Mikolas is set to make his third spring straining start on Monday for St. Louis. He's allowed two runs, one earned, in six innings in Florida. Lefty Patrick Corbin gets his fourth start for Washington. He's struck out 10 and surrendered four runs in 8.2 innings in spring training.
