The Mets got a walkoff win on Wednesday night when William Jordan scored on Joe Suozzi's sacrifice fly to beat the Houston Astros 6-5. Mark Vientos put New York up 5-1 with a solo homer in the eighth, a run that proved important when the Astros rallied for four runs in the top of the ninth.
Dylan Carlson's seventh-inning home run gave St. Louis a 1-0 lead in its 1-1 tie with the Minnesota Twins on Wednesday. Left-hander Zack Thompson worked four no-hit innings, striking out five and walking one, keeping his spring ERA at 2.25.
Veteran Lance Lynn, who returned to the Cardinals as a free agent in November, gets his second start of the spring. He allowed four runs in two innings before he was ejected back on March 8. José Buttó, a right-hander, gets the ball for the Mets. He has allowed one run in six spring-training innings.
