The Rays rallied from a 3-0 deficit to beat the Atlanta Braves 7-3 on Monday. They got four runs in the sixth, helped by a two-run error, before Nick Meyer crushed a three-run homer to left field in the bottom of the seventh.
Connor Wong's two-run homer in the third inning was all the offense Boston could muster on Monday in a 5-2 loss to the Minnesota Twins. Nick Pivetta struck out five in four-plus innings while allowing two runs on five hits.
Right-hander Kutter Crawford will start for the Red Sox on Tuesday. He has allowed just one run in eight innings this spring. Closer Kenley Jansen, limited to one outing because of back issues, will pitch on Tuesday as well. Tampa Bay gives the ball to left-hander Tyler Alexander, who has allowed one run on six hits in four spring-training innings.
